Detection Without Prevention Is Not A Reliable Security Solution
For years security integrators have concentrated their efforts on detection but not necessarily on prevention. Security manufacturers release new security devices focused on detection when presented with a problem, which is excellent. However, detection without prevention is just smoke and mirrors.
At SAGE Integration, we understand the importance of detection and prevention when providing a layered physical security approach for our enterprise-level clients. Our vertical market leaders, design team, technology partners, and technicians work directly with our client's security team to provide an integrated security solution that concentrates on prevention.
By understanding a client's security needs, analyzing all available data, and setting prevention goals, SAGE then provides a best in class solution to protect our client's most valued assets. For years the security industry would focus on finding solutions that detect potential security threats. But rarely did the threat detection devices communicate with each other and provide an automated solution that would trigger an automated response without human intervention.
The ability to provide an automated response based on actionable data is what separates SAGE Integration from the competition. Our security expertise goes beyond just providing software and devices; SAGE uses proven technologies, analytics, and actionable data to automatically trigger prevention protocols.
An example of a prevention trigger would be when an exterior camera detects an ex-employee in the parking lot on the watch list for making threats against their supervisor. The identified risk triggers an action that secures all perimeter doors, alerts individuals to a possible threat, and notifies the authorities to a potential threat. Additionally, the video surveillance system can track the threat and alert security to the individual's whereabouts and actions continuously.
By using detection to spot a potential threat, SAGE can use the data provided by the security device to initiate an automated prevention response without human interaction. Our automated prevention protocols reduce response time, free up personnel to perform other duties, and mitigates the threat.
